Hello from Minnesota

I will post some fun stuff soon, just took a minute to make sure I could log in.

Thanks Jon, for setting this up, I am looking forward to getting caught up with all things Kinsky!

Comments vs. New posts

There are 2 ways to post to this blog...You can either post a new subject for discussion ( new post like this one ) or click the 'comments' below a post to reply to a subject already posted. Using the 'comments' will keep the main screen a little cleaner as well as cause less confusion when you are replying to a post made say a month earlier.
Also...When viewing the blog, be sure to watch for new 'comments'( there is a counter next to the comments with how many replies have been made ) for your reading pleasure
Example..You will find Jon 'showing off' in his original post when replying to one of our potential lost cousins in Austria. He replied in what appears to be German but maybe Nat can translate for us as he is the 'smart Kinsky'....

From the eldest Kinsky - that is Joan

Here is my mother's email about the photo.....it may take her a while to figure out the "blog thing"

I think the Kinsky web site is very good-----good for Jon to set it up. However would someone please tell me how to send comments----do we need an account? To answer your question Jimmy-----left to right in the family picture----by the way that picture was taken for either the D@C or Catholic Courier----John holding Steve, Judy, Bob (standing) Mother holding Mike, Paula Ted, Mary Ann, Dad, Dave, me. Dick was in Toronto. Boy----that was a long time ago.

Cousin Nat!

No autographs!

That's right kids-

The 'smart Kinsky' hath paid me a visit here in Los Angeles! After a good couple hours catching up, cousin Nat et al sampled fine Southern Italian wine and cuisine down the street. There was much merriment!

Kudos to Jon!

Jon...Nice job !!!! Great way to run this without you having to constantly update.
I will start adding stuff soon...
To all...Let me know if you need anything scanned or videos converted. I will handle this from the Rochester end of the world...Or if you can't find someone to do it from outside Rochester, you could mail the hardcopy pcitures and I will scan and return.

Welcome to the Kinsky Family Website

So last May at Uncle Dick's funeral, a few of us decided to put together a nice but simple site so the whole family could keep in touch. I chose to take up the task and the site is now ready.
I chose this blog-style site for two reasons:

1) It's incredibly easy to maintain and anyone can essentially post on it.
2) I'm very lazy.

So post away- I'm still figuring out ways to make accounts for all of us, or maybe just make one or two master accounts that anyone can use to simply log in and put in a post. This is a very user-friendly setup (it's made by Google) and anyone can essentially post pictures, videos (note the Youtube bar!!) or just give a quick hello.
I urge anyone in the family, including the inlaws, the outlaws and the spouses to contribute any time you feel like sharing some news with the family. If anyone needs any assistance, please contact me at jonjoefischer@mac.com.

All the best,

Jon Fischer
